Phish's 100th Madison Square Garden Show: Dates and Ticket Deadlines
Phish announced a four-night New Year's Run at Madison Square Garden for December 30 and 31, 2026 and January 1 and 2, 2027, with the last night its 100th show at the arena. The band's ticket request period closes October 12 at noon Eastern, and the public on-sale is October 16.

What the band confirmed on October 7
Phish will close 2026 and open 2027 with four nights at Madison Square Garden. The band's own post, published October 7, 2026, gives the dates as December 30 and 31, 2026, then January 1 and January 2, 2027, and says the January 2 show will be its 100th at the venue. All four nights carry the same address on the tour page, 2 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York.
Three buying windows opened with the announcement, and the first of them closes on October 12.
Ninety-one, then ninety-six, then one hundred
The 100 figure comes from counts the band published at each earlier step.
In September 2025, announcing the previous New Year's Run, Phish said the four nights of December 28 through 31, 2025 would bring its total number of plays at Madison Square Garden to 91. The summer tour announcement in February 2026 listed five Garden dates in July and named them as shows 92, 93, 94, 95 and 96.
Four numbers are left before 100, and the new run has four nights. On that reading December 30 is the 97th Garden show, December 31 the 98th, January 1 the 99th, and January 2 the 100th. The band states only the last one outright; the three before it follow from the two earlier announcements.
The request window closes at noon on October 12
Phish keeps part of its inventory out of the general on-sale and sells it through a request period at tickets.phish.com. For this run the request period ends Monday, October 12 at noon Eastern. The general public on-sale is October 16 at noon Eastern. Travel packages, which bundle hotel rooms with tickets, went on sale October 8 at noon Eastern on a separate hospitality page.
The ticketing FAQ answers three questions that decide how useful a request is.
Up to 50 percent of the tickets available for each show may be sold through Phish Ticketing. The seating is split equally by quality between that allotment and outlet sales, so the band's inventory reaches from front row to behind the stage, and requests for a particular location are not honored.
Buyers learn the outcome by email. Phish Tickets notifies buyers at least two days before the on-sale date when an order cannot be filled, which puts the notification deadline at October 14 here. If that date passes with no email, the FAQ points buyers to the Phish Tickets customer service line or to the news page for fulfillment updates.
An order is final once placed. The FAQ says it cannot be cancelled or changed, and that it is filled as received.
How many seats a request can cover
Regular request orders are limited by show, and the FAQ puts the mail-order limit for regular seats at four to six, above the two-seat cap it sets for taper tickets. Orders ship at least one week before the first show in the order. Delivery by FedEx or UPS is mandatory so that the ticketing operation keeps a record of every package, and the FAQ states that tickets lost in transit without tracking details cannot be replaced.

What the October 16 on-sale leaves out
Advance sales shrink the pool that remains when the public on-sale opens. The FAQ states that tickets sold in advance are removed from the inventory available at the on-sale time.
Two groups sit outside the request system. Wheelchair-accessible seating is not part of the Phish Tickets inventory, because request seats are assigned at random. Buyers confirmed through Phish Tickets who need accessible seating are asked to email the ticketing address as soon as they are confirmed; accessible seats usually come from Ticketmaster or from the venue.
Taper tickets are a separate case. They are usually sold only by Phish Ticketing, have to be requested explicitly on the order form, and are capped at two seats per show even when the general limit for that show is higher.
A sold-out show is not always the end of the inventory. The FAQ says extra seats sometimes appear closer to the date, for reasons such as changing production needs or the release of limited-view areas, and that those releases are announced in advance on the band's site. For a show already announced as sold out, it states that such tickets are never sold at the venue box office, and suggests checking Ticketmaster or LiveNation online and by phone, or a local outlet, with early afternoon a reasonable time to look.
Fees depend on where you buy
The FAQ ranks the routes by cost. Every show has at least one designated outlet, usually the venue box office, where tickets can be bought in person with cash at face value and no service charge. Phish Ticketing charges a per-ticket service fee plus a per-order shipping fee. Outlet charges vary by region. Phone and online sales carry a convenience fee per ticket and a handling fee per order, which the FAQ calls the most expensive option.
The FAQ also addresses what happens after a sellout that looks instant. It states that the band supervises and reviews every on-sale and that no one is allowed to hold back blocks of tickets from public availability, and it notes that the advance request period is one reason fewer seats remain when the on-sale begins.
What the announcement does not settle
The October 7 post and the tour page do not list ticket prices for the New Year's Run, do not name support acts, and do not say whether the four nights will be webcast or filmed for release. LivePhish With, the band's subscription product launched in July 2026, includes video livestreams, but the New Year's announcement does not tie it to this run.
The run is also separate from the October leg the band has been playing. That leg moved through Atlantic City, Richmond and Jacksonville, with the last listed date on October 12 in Huntsville, and none of it is at the Garden.
The milestone lands on the closing night rather than on New Year's Eve. December 30 is a Wednesday and December 31 a Thursday, so the 98th Garden show is the countdown date. January 1, 2027 falls on a Friday, and the 100th show is the Saturday after it.
