On October 9 at New York Comic Con, Paramount+ announced two Avatar developments: Avatar: Seven Havens is renewed for Books 3 and 4, and Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos has been announced as a new original animated series. As of October 12, those are firm franchise updates, not a release calendar. The same announcement says more details on Seven Havens Books 2–4 will follow later; it gives no premiere date for those books or for Kuruk.

The dates that are known

Book 1 is the only installment with a published rollout. Its first three episodes premiered globally on October 9, with episodes 4–6 set for October 16, episodes 7–9 for October 23, and episodes 10–13 for October 30, according to Paramount’s New York Comic Con announcement. The initial three episodes were already out by October 12. That is a weekly batch-release pattern, not a single episode each Friday; the final drop has four episodes. The 13-episode total applies to Book 1 only, and Paramount has not said whether later books will match it. Those dates do not establish when Book 2 begins, when Books 3 and 4 follow, or how Kuruk fits on Paramount+’s calendar. The announcement lists dates, not exact release hours, so viewers in other time zones should check their local Paramount+ listing.

What the Seven Havens renewal covers

The announcement says Books 3 and 4 will continue the story of Avatar Pavi and her twin sister, Nisha. It does not describe what happens in those future installments, so a renewal confirms continuation without revealing the next plot turn.

Paramount says the renewal was revealed by co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko at the NYCC panel. Seven Havens executive producer Ethan Spaulding, co-executive producer Sehaj Sethi, and the voices of Pavi, Nisha and Jae—Saheli Khan, Aishu Devan and Major Curda—also joined. The release says Avatar Studios and Nickelodeon Animation Studios are producing Kuruk, with Konietzko as showrunner, but names no Kuruk cast.

What Kuruk’s series announcement says

Paramount describes Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos as a new Paramount+ original animated series and “the next installment” in the franchise. Its premise centers on a rebellious teenage Avatar who chooses to learn the four elements through globe-trotting adventures, while staying ahead of an angry teacher, pirates and chaotic spirits and helping the world in his own way. That confirms the broad setup and animated format. The release names only broad conflicts, not individual opponents or story arcs.

The announcement does not say where Kuruk’s story falls relative to Pavi, Korra or another series. It also does not call the show a Seven Havens sequel or announce a crossover. Those connections should not be assumed from a shared franchise label.

What to watch for next

For a watch schedule, Book 1’s October rollout is the only confirmed calendar here. Wait for Paramount’s next notice for future Seven Havens dates or a Kuruk premiere window; the current release gives no date or episode count for the new series.
