Ghost of Yōtei's Complete Edition was listed at $69.99 on the U.S. PlayStation page on October 13, 2026; existing owners can buy a separate $14.99 upgrade. A third addition, the co-op mode Legends, is free for every owner. The Complete Edition is available now on PS5, and its paid content unlocked on October 1, 2026, one day before the first anniversary of the base game's October 2, 2025 launch.

One bundle at $69.99, one upgrade at $14.99

The Complete Edition gathers the story campaign, the Ghost of Yōtei Legends multiplayer mode, and two new additions: Echoes of Sekigahara, a story expansion, and Most Wanted, a combat survival mode that the PlayStation Blog describes as a roguelike.

The bundle also carries a cosmetic set. The official game page lists an in-game Mask, the Charm of Hokkyokusei, The Snake Armor, a Digital Deluxe Armor Dye, a Digital Deluxe Horse and Saddle, a Sword Kit, Traveler's Maps as an early unlock, and the Charm of Amaterasu.

The upgrade is the part that matters to anyone who already owns the game. PlayStation's September 3 announcement says the $14.99 Complete Edition Upgrade gives existing owners Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted, all Digital Deluxe in-game content and the Charm of Hokkyokusei. The U.S. PlayStation listing identifies it as a PS5 add-on pack.

The digital Complete Edition went on sale first; PlayStation's September 3 announcement said the physical edition would launch on October 1, 2026. The limited-time offer ended on September 30, 2026. PlayStation's announcement said pre-orders by that date got an early unlock of the Sakai Armour on October 1, without first unlocking it through Most Wanted.

Legends is the part every owner gets

Ghost of Yōtei Legends is the co-op mode. The official page describes it as free for all Ghost of Yōtei owners and lists three modes with different group sizes. Survival takes up to four players against waves of enemies on one of four maps, Story pairs two players across 12 missions, and each set of three Story missions unlocks an Incursion, a four-player assault on a stronghold held by one of the Yōtei Six. Every Incursion ends in a boss fight against a giant, supernatural version of The Spider, The Oni, The Kitsune or The Snake, and players choose from four classes: Samurai, Archer, Mercenary and Shinobi.

Online play requires PlayStation Plus; the official listing supports up to four online players.

Existing owners get Legends without buying the Complete Edition or its upgrade; PlayStation Plus is still required for online play. The September 3 announcement also lists free October 1 patch features for all owners: Beauty of Yōtei Photo Mode exploration, new Watanabe Mode tracks, an option to keep one armor set's appearance while using another's stats, and a high-contrast accessibility option.

Echoes of Sekigahara covers Atsu's mainland past

Echoes of Sekigahara is the narrative expansion and one of the two things the $14.99 upgrade pays for. The official page describes a new area of Ezo to explore, a key figure from Atsu's past, previously unseen enemies, a new weapon type to master, new armor types and new cosmetics, and it says the expansion covers more of the Battle of Sekigahara.

The PlayStation Blog adds a structural detail. The expansion's story is split between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu's time on the mainland.

The interview also names its writer. Erika Ishii, the actor behind Atsu, says she talked with Courtney Woods, the writer for Echoes of Sekigahara, at the launch party.

Most Wanted is waves, boss fights and unlockable characters

Most Wanted is the second paid addition, and it takes a different shape. The official Most Wanted page calls it a single-player roguelike built on bounties rather than a campaign. You pick a bounty from the board, fight through waves of enemies and minibosses to reach a member of the Yōtei Six, and the run ends with the hardest bounty against Lord Saitō. Four characters are playable, Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato and Jin, and runs pay out in Mon, a currency spent between attempts on techniques, weapon upgrades, charms and characters.

Its rewards extend past cosmetics. Any cosmetics earned in the mode also unlock in the main game. The blog interview with Ishii covers the new dialogue she recorded for it, and she describes Most Wanted as non-canonical, with a slightly different and more mystical feeling, in the way the multiplayer mode is more mythological.

New Game+ carries a finished save into a second run

New Game+ appears in the same list of latest additions on the official page. It unlocks on the title screen after you complete the main story, and it lets you restart the adventure with gear, upgrades, cosmetics, resources and collectibles carried over.

Re-completing objectives you already finished in your first playthrough rewards Ghost Flowers, exchanged at a new vendor for additional cosmetics, new charms, two new and upgradeable armor sets, and new armor and weapon upgrades to craft. Two new trophies come with it.

The official page lists 22 Challenge Content Locations and 27 Duels that can be replayed through the map after players complete them once.

What each part needs in order to run

The PlayStation listing also supports Remote Play; PS5 and PS Portal cloud streaming require a Premium subscription.

PlayStation lists the Complete Edition as a PS5 and PS5 Pro Enhanced product; the ESRB rates Ghost of Yōtei M for Mature 17+. Downloading Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted needs an internet connection and an account for PlayStation, so the disc alone will not deliver the paid additions offline.

Patch v2.0 and the dates that differ by territory

PlayStation's U.S., U.K. and Japanese pages date the patch-v2.0-or-later unlock for Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted to October 1, 2026 in the U.S. and U.K. and October 2 in Japan. PlayStation's September 3 announcement says the later date applies in some territories, including Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

PlayStation describes the $14.99 Upgrade as a purchase for existing owners, but the linked PlayStation game pages do not say whether the base game and upgrade must be on the same account. They also do not assign New Game+ to the free update or paid upgrade, although it appears in the same list of latest additions.
